Christianity isnt opposed to erotic loveon the contrary, it seeks to rescue it from degradation, and restore it to the type of love that never fades or fails.

The article concludes with, "Isn't this the love that housewives are desperate for?"
Well, my question is how does a person resolve this wonderful thought? If a couple strives for agape love in their marriage and can't even acquire erotic love where does a person go from there?

True love begins with God and ends with God. Any love that does not is false! Although eros was created by God, it has to be approached with extreme caution. We know from Scripture that Satan is most active in our lower souls. When Wisdom governs our minds we can avoid falling into sin. Eros is source of many evils lest it is done with God in mind. This means sanctity and purity and clinging to Christ! Even a virgin can experience eros at times. But he or she is well adviced to postpone their feelings until they talk to their true Lover which is God! Then, if they can't avoid it and if they are convinced that He is tolerant, they should try to limit erotic self-satisfaction to the minimum. For all eros is ultimately selfish ... even if it is shared with someone else! Eros may have some place in marriage and in human friendship in general. But no marriage can survive on eros, in fact no relationship can. Only true chaste love in communion with Jesus preserves marriages and friendships! For this reason true Saints use erotic feelings wisely and very sparingly, and seek to cling to their true Love as much as they can in this life!
