The 60th anniversary of Hiroshima and Nagasaki should remind us that so long as the world�s most powerful nations continue to target cities�innocent civilians�with nuclear weapons, our condemnations of �terror� will ring hollow.

Finally! It is good to hear someone speaking up for the Catholic faith, in all its fullness, instead of using it to mask bloodthirstiness, hated for those racially different, greed, and moral cowardice.

well i understand what devastating effect the atom bomb had on those 2 cities
they were really wiped out
well my sympathies to all those people who are still suffering the aftermath

Excellent article. I wish to point out, albeit a year later, that Truman's order was even more shocking. There was no waiting to see if Japan responded to Hiroshima's destruction. Truman simply ordered that the bombs be dropped "as they became available". It happened that the USA only had two available, otherwise there may have been even more cities destroyed.
