It is good to hear someone speaking up for the Catholic faith, in all its fullness, instead of using it to mask bloodthirstiness, hated for those racially different, greed, and moral cowardice. I wish to point out, albeit a year later, that Truman's order was even more shocking. There was no waiting to see if Japan responded to Hiroshima's destruction. Truman simply ordered that the bombs be dropped "as they became available". It happened that the USA only had two available, otherwise there may have been even more cities destroyed.
